Darcy Watson, CAE of Association Management LTD (AML), is the IT Manager for the company as well as 10 association clients. With 16 years of experience using iMIS, Darcy's role is to provide strategic technology planning and forecasting as well as develop association websites, event websites, mobile apps, customize databases and create iMIS reporting. AML has 75 staff members, 17 of which use iMIS in a part-time or full-time role.

"One of our favorite features is the iMIS20 Staff site and event dashboard," says Darcy. "We can easily log into a browser and see all pertinent meeting details at a glance – number of members registered per membership category, revenue, attendee lists, and a days-out countdown keeps us on track during conference calls. When committee members ask us for data there are no more awkward silences or the need to get back to them at a later date with an answer."
When asked to provide any advice to other users, Darcy said, "our tip is to redirect sponsor money toward a mobile event website. For the past two years, we’ve had sponsorship of the mobile site for one of our state-wide associations and it has been great exposure for the sponsor. The reduction in staff time and effort to create a separate app, combined with a sponsorship opportunity is a win-win."
She also explained that having consistent and innovative technology solutions creates efficiencies, which are critical to deliver quality association management services and a good user experience for its association clients.
