Business Needs One of the most critical elements to meeting customer needs is providing detailed, real-time information to sales and service staff. With the introduction of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Voice & Data Networks recognized greater opportunities for integrating Microsoft Dynamics CRM with Microsoft Dynamics GP, and decided to move off of Siebel Front Office. However, the integration tools available from Microsoft proved unable to meet the full extent of the company's requirement. Therefore, Voice & Data Networks turned to its software consulting and implementation partner, InterDyn Business Microvar, which recommended Scribe Insight to provide real-time integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics GP. Bob Prayfrock, Director of IT/Operations at Voice & Data Networks states, "Integrating our CRM and accounting systems was critical so that our sales and service staff have complete account and product information at their fingertips. That way, when a customer calls, they can respond on the spot whether it's taking an order or resolving an issue-instead of manually tracking down the information and then calling the customer back." Accelerating order processing from end to end By providing real-time, bidirectional integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics GP, Scribe Insight enables the staff at Voice and Data Networks to process orders in a matter of minutes, rather than the hours it once took. "One of the major challenges we faced was having multiple warehouses that we set up in Dynamics GP to handle the different types of products we offer," explains Prayfrock. But by using Scribe Insight, we were able to create an integration into Dynamics GP that provides our sales people with a view into all our warehouses. Simplifying a complex migration For the integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics GP to be successful, Voice and Data Networks had to first migrate all its contact information from Siebel Front Office to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and then reconcile any duplicate or inconsistent records. With 25,000 contacts and 18,000 accounts, this was no small task. Serving customers more effectively with integrated information As with the migration, Voice & Data Networks completed the integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics GP smoothly, thanks to Scribe Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics GP. While partner InterDyn Business Microvar took on the lion's share of the integration work, Prafrock and his team also used Scribe Insight to address the nuances required to meet the company's unique integration requirements.
