InterDyn BMI and GoIWx team up for hosted trial of Microsoft Dynamics CRM free for 30 days
Minneapolis, Minnesota - May 7, 2009 - InterDyn BMI, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner who specializes in integrating and delivering all aspects of a client's business IT needs including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), e-Commerce, Systems Engineering, Business Process Consulting and Custom Application Development, recently announced a strategic partnership with GoIWX, a leader in IT hosting, Software Plus Service (S+S) and Software as a Service (SaaS).
InterDyn BMI will offer online, instructor led Microsoft Dynamics CRM training at packaged pricing. The training environment will provide base product functionality and will not be configured to client specifics.
GoIWx President and CEO, RJ Burgess sees this coordinated offering as a excellent opportunity to help SMB's to make the move to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 free for 30 days, while providing the opportunity to help the users get the hands-on training any organization needs to either bridge the gap from an older CRM program and get up to speed with new features of the software and at the same time, customers won't have to invest in the IT infrastructure new CRM implementations often require. "This makes the move to the SaaS model more attainable without the large CAP-X expenditures." says Brian Campbell, CRM Sales Manager. “With the CRM program we've just announced we believe customers have greater flexibility and get a better value with the GoIWx hosted model than with CRM Online. We achieve a greater level of flexibility in the installation and configuration.
InterDyn BMI is focuses on the sales, implementation and training for their clients to create comprehensive business solutions utilizing Microsoft Dynamics. There are several significant benefits to a program like this." Campbell continues, “This offer provides an option to get up and running on Microsoft Dynamics CRM at a low cost. This will allow the clients to recoup the investment with a faster uptime.”
For this joint endeavor, the training offering will be held online and instructor led. This venue allows for interactivity with the attendees and will provide training materials and lab exercises. The training package offer requires a minimum purchase of 3 user license and the installation of non customized or minimally configured Microsoft Dynamics CRM application in the GoIWx hosted environment.
Hosting can provide customers an "out of the box" solution which is low cost, with great training designed to fit their needs. Clients with more robust configuration can still get lower cost, with a quicker uptime, and spend CAPEX dollars on tailored training and realize more of an immediate gain. By going partner hosted, we can provide clients of varied needs, a higher return on investment.
In addition to CRM training, InterDyn BMI offers customization services, SQL Reporting services, installation and upgrades, advanced workflow training, and SharePoint installation and implementation.

March 19th, 2009- Microsoft Released released the latest version of Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).
1. It is fully tested and supported. NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT COMPATIBILITY! IE8 has undergone a rigorous 12 month beta, and Dynamics CRM was one of the key "test products" for the IE team when working through their validation and tests. The IE team and CRM team worked closely together to insure that Dynamics CRM worked with IE8, and IE 8 is now an officially supported browser for Dynamics CRM 4.0.
2. Built in development tools. If you are the developer type, you probably used tools like DOMspy or the Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar to identify CRM page elements, like Nav Bar links, to use in creating javascript. With IE 8, there is no more need for these tools, as the developer tools are built into the browser (under Tools menu-->Developer Tools)
3. Color coded tabs. This is a major usability enhancement for Dynamics CRM. As any user of Dynamics CRM can attest, CRM can open many IE windows. For example, when you open up an Account, a new window is launched, then if you open an activity associated with the account, another window opens. Tabbed browsing in IE 7 helped get control of these windows by allowing users to have one IE window open with multiple tabs. However, one potential problem is that if you also have some other sites open, perhaps researching a potential customer on MSN Money, the CRM windows can get lost among all of your other sites.
IE 8 solves these problems by grouping tabs from related sites together, and color coding them, so you will never mix up your CRM tabs with your Twitter tabs.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM is designed for high user adoption, engineered for rapidly changing business needs, and optimized for IT constrained environments. It is enterprise CRM that works the way you do, works the way business does, and works the way technology should. Companies that have already invested heavily in other CRM systems such as Siebel can act now to rapidly realize the benefits of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, without waiting for a full-scale reimplementation. Underlying CRM installations can be migrated over time with minimal disruption to the business.
Since the mid-1990s, businesses, government and other large organizations have poured billions of dollars into implementing customer management systems, such as Siebel, in hopes of achieving a 360 view of the customer, and driving profits through stronger customer relationships. These efforts, however, have met with varying degrees of success; and most notably, with poor user adoption. Many customers also found that the systems were difficult to deploy, and once deployed, were difficult to adapt as business needs changed. For many organizations, the lack of flexibility has caused change request queues to extend beyond 6 months, straining IT resources and business-IT relations. Microsoft has focused on designing a CRM system for high user adoption with seamless integration to familiar and easy to use Microsoft software. Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM takes advantage of Microsoft Office to maximize ease of use and the Microsoft platform to maximize flexibility and adaptability.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM offers benefits for:
Users: a familiar user experience embedded in Microsoft Office Outlook.
Business Analysts: a UI-based mechanism to quickly make changes to the application to fit business needs.
IT: a modern Web services based architecture that enables integration with other applications.
Companies that have made significant investments in other CRM systems such as Siebel can rapidly realize the benefits of Microsoft Dynamics CRM without waiting for a full-scale reimplementation. This can be achieved using a federated deployment model to synchronize needed information between Microsoft Dynamics CRM deployed at a divisional or regional level, and the existing Siebel system. Underlying CRM installations can be migrated over time with minimal disruption to the business.
The process of upgrading Microsoft Dynamics CRM (formerly Microsoft CRM) can be viewed as a linear process, in which upgrades need to be enabled via a deployment of Microsoft CRM in succession. (i.e. CRM v1.0, CRM v1.2, CRM v3.0, CRM v4.0)

Microsoft Releases Next Generation CRM Solution for On-Premise and On-Demand Deployments
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 delivers flexible power of choice and familiar Outlook experience.
REDMOND, Wash. — Dec. 17, 2007 The new version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, formerly code-named “Titan,” has been completed and released to manufacturing, Microsoft Corp. announced today. The new version is offered under two product names: Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 for on-premise and partner-hosted deployments and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Live for Microsoft-hosted deployment. Designed with a single unified-code base for both on-premise and on-demand deployments, Microsoft Dynamics CRM enables customers to choose the right deployment model for their specific business and IT needs, with the flexibility to change deployment models over time if their needs or preferences change.
“Microsoft Dynamics CRM is making the power of choice a reality for businesses around the world,” said Brad Wilson, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics CRM at Microsoft. “This new release further enables us to deliver on Microsoft’s software plus services strategy and provide our CRM solutions with a great user experience and exceptional business value.” Some of the significant new benefits and capabilities of this new release include these:
•An advanced multitenant architecture that supports multiple customers per server
•Extended global capabilities including user choice of more than 25 languages and pervasive support for multiple currencies
•New business intelligence capabilities including cross-entity views and an end-user ad hoc reporting wizard
•Advanced business process automation based on Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation
•New collaboration capabilities with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 including real-time presence indicators within the CRM application
The new release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM has been in extensive use over the past year by more than 600 partners around the world and more than 100 early access customers representing a broad range of on-premise, partner-hosted and Microsoft-hosted deployments. “Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 meets our needs for an enterprise-ready CRM solution,” said Dirk Karl, general manager and chief procurement officer at ING Group, a financial institution that offers banking, insurance and asset management services to clients in 50 countries. “It will allow us to easily automate innovative workflows, quickly share knowledge across our global enterprise, and develop a more productive worldwide purchasing and vendor relationship management environment.” Availability Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 will be available worldwide in more than 25 languages. The English language pack will be available within the next seven days to new and existing partners and customers. Microsoft CRM 4.0 should be hitting the shelves -- virtual or otherwise -- by year’s end. The product, aka Titan, released to manufacturing on Dec. 14.
Many observers characterize this version, formally known as Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 as the flagship offering for Microsoft's software-plus-services strategy in that the same code base underlies the on-premise, partner-hosted and Microsoft-hosted implementations.
"This is a true Software as a Service platform now and will change the way Microsoft addresses the market," said Andy Vabulas, CEO of IBIS Inc., an Atlanta-based Microsoft Gold partner. IBIS plans to host and sell on-premise installations, he said.
John Hendrickson, CEO of InterDyn Business Microvar, said this iteration will help Microsoft and its partners compete more effectively with Salesforce.com's hosted CRM product. "We like the 'live' and hosted scenarios because they give us more options to talk to customers about. I can do any of these although I expect the vast majority of customers will still opt for on-premise," Hendrickson noted.
The Microsoft-hosted option will be known by the "Live" moniker that covers the Windows Live and Office Live services offerings. While the partner-hosted and on-premise versions should be available for download by the end of this week, the Microsoft-hosted CRM version will be broadly available in the first half of next year. Early access customers have been testing out that software for some months now.
With CRM 4.0, the company hopes to prove that it can play a major role in the SaaS revolution pioneered by Salesforce.com, Webex and Google.
Microsoft's stance has been that it must deliver features and functions in the way most palatable to customers. It has remained publicly mum, however, on when and if it will launch a Microsoft-hosted ERP solution along the lines of NetSuite's service. Company executives have told partner sources in the past that Microsoft-hosted ERP will happen. Partners can already host the company's ERP lines.
